Job Description:
The Mathematics Department at The College of Saint Rose invites applicants for a fulltime, tenure track Assistant Professor of Mathematics faculty position for the 2010-2011 academic year. Teaching responsibilities for this position include courses designed to serve students preparing for careers in mathematics, mathematics education or to fulfill liberal arts requirements for non-majors. Courses to be taught range from liberal arts mathematics to upper-division courses. Expertise in areas such as analysis and topology is particularly valuable to the department. Responsibilities include undergraduate/graduate teaching, research, academic advisement, and service in relevant academic areas. As a member of the Saint Rose faculty, the applicant is expected to teach assigned courses in accordance with relevant academic policies; produce scholarly works as evidence of professional advancement or accomplishment; cooperation with other faculty on assessment and curriculum development; and to serve The College's communities through participation in School and College-wide committees and events. The department is looking for applicants in our expanding program who are outstanding, innovative teachers, dedicated to implementing active, student-centered teaching and learning strategies.
Requirements:
Ph.D. in mathematics required. ABD acceptable provided Ph.D. conferred by December 1, 2010
